Rebrand

The Rock's Head Office is receiving a facelift.

Due to a continued decline in use, the drive through has closed permenently from Friday 13 January 2012.

Our Head Office refurbishment, which will include a new, modern branch will begin on 16 January 2012.

The Rock Building Society has taken on a fresh, new look.  

You will notice The Rock has changed our look. We have a fresh, new logo and corporate colours and will apply these across our business, including our branch network, in coming months. The new colours - green and black - are typical of Central Queensland from the coal fields of the west to the green of the Capricorn Coast. The colours, which are relatively unique amongst financial services, help The Rock stand apart from our peers.

Importantly, the Rock icon which is instantly recognisable in Central Queensland, has been retained.

Our updated brand is the single most visible change undertaken at The Rock in over a decade and will also be evident across our internet banking site; communications; and, gradually across all our locations. The rebrand has extended to this website. Importantly, the way in which you navigate The Rock website is unchanged. We have simply updated the colours and logo.

As with anything we do, people and our communities are at the heart of this rebrand. Dozens of Central Queensland locals from Gladstone to Biloela, Yeppoon to Rockhampton participated in a photo shoot which will exhibit the region and its people as part of the new-look Rock. We have captured images of those people who have made The Rock an integral part of the Central Queensland community and a respected national financial institution - small families; large families; couples; school kids; surf lifesavers; Tai Chi participants; soccer players; farmers; retirees and business people. These great photos will be at the heart of our new look.

This genuine focus on people is also reflected in our new "brand promise" - All About You. This means that the way we look after you is central to our business, whether you're a customer, a shareholder, a community partner, a staff member, or all of these!

So, while we may have updated our logo and colours, The Rock's commitment to providing genuine, personalised service and our focus on servicing regional Queensland, remains central to our brand.

Internet Banking

The Rock's new corporate colours - green and black - have been applied across the internet banking site.

Importantly, the way in which customers use internet banking remains unchanged and you WILL NOT have to update your log in details. We have simply updated the colours and logo.

Branch and ATM networks

The Rock will be gradually refurbishing our branch network, with an extensive works program already underway. The initial focus of these refurbishments will be our Central Queensland locations, with the Stockland Rockhampton branch being the first location to be upgraded.

Our new branches will incorporate various, customer-friendly design features that set The Rock apart from other financial institutions.

The features include a:

  • Discovery Wall, to display general community and product information relevant to each specific branch; and a
  • Technology Hub, to accommodate customers wishing to use internet banking but also a learning tool for less tech-savvy customers.

The new Gracemere branch at Gracemere Shopping World opened on 14 December 2011.
